Agniveer age limit and date-of-birth range
Agnipath eligibility is a fixed date-of-birth block, not a single age. Pick the intake to see the block from its official notice.

How it is calculated
Agnipath notices do not say "17½ to 22" and leave you to work it out. Each one prints a date-of-birth block, both dates inclusive, and that block is the rule. This page shows the block from the latest notice for each service. For the Army, para 25.2 reckons the minimum age on 1 January 2027 and the maximum on 1 July 2027.
Eligible ⇔ earliest DOB ≤ your date of birth ≤ latest DOB (both inclusive)
Pick the service and intake
Army, Navy and Air Force recruit separately, and the Navy runs two batches a year with different blocks.
Compare your date of birth
Use the date on your Class 10 certificate. If it falls on either boundary date, you are still eligible, because both dates are inclusive.
No category relaxation
The Army, Navy and Air Force notices give one block for everyone. There is no extra age for OBC, SC/ST or other categories.

What most pages get wrong
17½ to 22 years, not 17½ to 21
The latest Army notice gives 17½–22 years for every Agniveer category, and the IAF 02/2027 notice caps age at 22 on the date of enrolment. The 2022 Agnipath scheme text said 17½–21; the current notices say 22.
The date-of-birth block decides
Each notice prints a block such as 1 July 2005 to 1 July 2009 (Army), with both dates inclusive. Your Class 10 date of birth must fall inside it.
The Navy uses a different block for each batch
INET 2026 accepted anyone born 1 December 2004 – 31 October 2009, but the 01/2027 batch needs 1 Dec 2004 – 31 May 2009 and the 02/2027 batch 1 May 2005 – 31 Oct 2009.
No OBC, SC/ST or other age relaxation
The notices set one block for all candidates. Relaxations apply to physical standards in some regions, not to age.
