Why this set exists

What this vertical covers

Written for an Indian user, not a keyword counter

Government pay is rule-driven: a pay matrix cell, DA orders issued twice a year, HRA by city class and transport allowance by level. Pension adds qualifying service and a floor and ceiling. These calculators apply those rules and show every input, so a change in DA or a promotion can be modelled in seconds.

Scheme eligibility is different from arithmetic. PM Awas Yojana is decided by ownership, income band, prior assistance and — for the rural scheme — SECC criteria and automatic exclusions. The eligibility calculator quotes the official criteria and tells you which one failed, rather than returning a bare yes or no.

Before you calculate

Worth knowing before you calculate

01 · DA moves twice a year

DA is 63% from 1 July 2026

The January and July revisions change basic pay plus DA, and DR for pensioners. Both calculators expose the rate as an input so a new order can be applied immediately.

02 · The pay matrix

Basic pay is a cell, not a percentage

The 7th CPC matrix has 19 levels including Level 13A. Each annual increment moves an employee one cell, roughly 3%, within the same level.

03 · Eligibility has tests

PMAY is not a single income cutoff

Urban PMAY-U 2.0 uses EWS/LIG/MIG income bands; rural PMAY-G uses SECC 2011 criteria and excludes income-tax payers. One pucca house anywhere in the family disqualifies either.

Questions

Government & Civic — frequently asked questions

What is the 7th CPC salary for a Level 7 employee?+
At the entry cell of Rs 44,900 with DA at 63% and HRA at 30% for an X city, gross pay is about Rs 92,525 per month, including transport allowance. The salary calculator shows the full split.
What is the current DA rate for central government employees?+
63% of basic pay from 1 July 2026, after a 3 percentage point increase. DA was 60% from 1 January 2026. Rates are revised every January and July.
How is government pension calculated?+
For 20 or more years of qualifying service, pension is 50% of the last basic pay (or the 10-month average if more beneficial). For 10–20 years it is pro-rata, with a Rs 9,000 minimum and a Rs 1,25,000 maximum.
Who is eligible for PM Awas Yojana?+
Urban households with annual income up to Rs 9 lakh, no pucca house anywhere in the family and no housing benefit in the last 20 years can qualify under PMAY-U 2.0. Rural households are assessed under PMAY-G through SECC 2011 criteria.
Can I claim DA arrears after a revision?+
Yes. When a DA order is issued with a retrospective date, the difference is paid as arrears. The DA arrears calculator applies the old and new rates to basic pay for the months in the revision period.
Trust layer — why these pages are different

Every calculator, dated and sourced.

Each calculator on this page is generated from one verified record: its inputs, formula, tests, sources and the date the numbers were checked. When an official rate changes, the record changes and the page is rebuilt with a new verified date.
